New strategy for SiC 3D printing

In an article published in the journal Advanced Materials, IRCER scientists (axes 1 and 3) propose a chemical route to ceramics (the PDC route for Polymer-Derived Ceramics) coupled with a 3D printing process (granule-based FDM process) that should facilitate the deployment of silicon carbide (SiC) in multiple applications for telecommunications, transport or energy.
