We would like to bring your attention to the conference Euroclay2019. EUROCLAY is amongst the foremost scientific meetings in the field of clays and clay minerals, and upholds the tradition of presenting every four years, the latest cutting-edge results of this scientific field. The former conference was held in Edinburgh (Scotland, 2015).
As the conveners of sessions C3 and D3, we cordially invite you to contribute with both oral and poster presentations.
Session C3 will address the “Thermal reactions of clays and their application in sustainable construction materials”. Emphasis regarded the understanding of changes in clay minerals structure and their reactivity under different chemical conditions. Furthermore, the addition of supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) replacing Portland cement is considered for environmental issues.
Session D3, entitled "Clays and clay minerals in ceramics: from industrial to new hierarchical/textured materials ", will be concerned with recent trends and achievements cross-linking clay minerals and ceramic processing. Indeed, the promotion of clay-based ceramics regarding sustainability impacts and the development of innovative clay-based ceramics with original microstructures and/or unique properties.
